Paul's Health Advice

I find this interesting...

While there are various principles in the Bible that refer to health and nutrition, one of the the very few direct instructions concerning health specifically is one that certain Christians in the last two hundred years have directly contradicted:

(Paul writing to Timothy) "No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments" (1 Timothy 5:23).

  1. Yes; it's too bad that the topic of wine, or even fermentation in general, is so misunderstood.
I've really enjoyed studying (and applying)about the health benefits of wine and fermented foods.
It is also very interesting to read the history behind many Christian's fear of wine for the last two centuries. (previously, I wasn't aware that Welch's grape juice was invented as a specific substitute for wine for the Lord's Supper.)

Anyway: I always enjoy reading what you post! Have a good week!
